a strong cookie update.

today, my aunt asked me, "do you read anymore? because you haven't updated your blog in a while"

the answer is, yes, I still read.

I am reading the last book of the Game of Thrones series. I've read a book by retired teachers, I am going to read The Evolution of Bruno Littlemore next. I have a full Amazon cart that I am itching to press "buy" on. I am still reading The New Yorker every week. I'm reading countless blogs (thanks google reader!)

But what I am reading the most are e-mails and proofs and memos and drafts because right now my life is filled to the brim with work.

Yes, that sounds incredibly boring, but the truth is - I love my job. I'm obsessed with it. I am a minor workaholic, but it's because I feel so strongly and passionately about what I am doing. It leaves little time for much else. I am at a point in my life where I can devote a lot of my time to making my career awesome. I won't always be in that position (the time part - I will always be passionate about what I do - otherwise, why do it?) And you know what? My career IS awesome. I work on truly incredible things with insanely talented people and it is a true blessing to have that combination.

All this adds up to very little time for blogging, but I miss it, so when I do have time, I'll do a big batch and scatter them through that week.
