book list #24 - birds of america

I've read a lot of Lorrie Moore's stories over the years - both in her collections, and The New Yorker.

I don't know why it occurred to me so late that I'd never read Birds of America, but as soon as I did, I made sure it was a part of my next book order (as well as Self-Help)

Naturally, the stories were all classic Lorrie Moore stories, which is to say really ordinary people in mostly ordinary written about in a extraordinarily beautiful way.

I think anyone who enjoys her stories should read these.
